Farmers roared for Rs.5000 pension and price

It was not like a political party’s rally and people were not carried by trucks of politician’s money. Farmers locked collector office

Date: 23-Dec-2010 Venue: Jagatsinghpur This is the day on 23rd December 2010; thousands of farmers captured the Jagatsinghpur collector office and locked the all 4 gates of the office under the leadership of NAVNIRMAN KRISHAK SANGATHAN on the issues of non-inclusion of the district in the declared special relief package after crop loss due to untimely rain. Untimely rain has damaged the thousand acres of crop of the district and lakhs of farmers have been affected due to it. But unfortunately District Jagatsinghpur is excluded from the list of declared special relief package. Date: 17-May-2011 Venue: In front of Collector Office, Jagatsinghpur 2 persons fasting continuing since 3 days at Jagatsinghpur collector office under the banner of Navnirman Krishak Sangathan on the issue of to return jute bags and weight charges of paddy to paddy seller farmers. When farmer sell paddy at mandi they asked to give the jute bags (container of paddy) and paid for weight charges (kanta paisa) of every quintal paddy. But as per the regulation farmers should get back their jute bags after selling the paddy and weight charges also should be beared by millers. Because, millers are previously paid for jute bags and weight charges from government. Leadership Training Camp of Nadi Mukti Abhijan

Date: 29-Aug-2012 Venue: Gonasika, Keonjhar The leadership training camp of Nadi Mukti Abhijan was held in Gonasika of Keonjhar district on 29th and 30th of August 2012. Near about 40 participants were present in that camp. Most of them were youngsters from different colleges. Sri Kiran Sahoo had come as the resource person to train the activists. The camp was successful because those participants decided to do a District Level Student Convention on 17th october 2012 with near about 300 participants on the issue of Water and River Policy in context of Baitarani River. Some of the participants decided to take a street play campaign into the villages laying in the valley of Baitarani.
